Overview

What Daily Living & Personal Support involves

We provide assistance with a range of everyday activities in the comfort of your home, supporting you to build the skills you need to be as independent as possible.

We tailor this support to each person, and we can also provide it for people with complex needs. Support is usually delivered at home and can extend into your community.

How We Help

How we help with daily living support

Each area below is set out separately, so you only need to read the parts that matter to you.

Personal care

Personal care is often the first support people ask about. Our workers are trained to help in a way that is unhurried and respectful, and you decide how much assistance you want and how it is done.

  • Showering or bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming

Domestic assistance

Living in a clean, tidy and safe home contributes to your wellbeing. If everyday household duties are hard to keep up with, our care workers can help with:

  • Cleaning
  • Washing
  • Ironing

Getting Started

How we work with you

Support only works when it is built around the person receiving it. Before anything begins, one of our registered nurses sits down with you — and anyone else you want in the room — to understand your goals, your routine and how you like things done.

From there we write it down in plain language, introduce you to the workers who suit you, and keep checking that the arrangement still fits. Nothing is locked in, and you can change your mind as you go.

  • An unhurried first conversation about what you need and what your plan can fund
  • A written support plan, with workers matched to your routine and preferences
  • Regular reviews with nursing oversight, so your support changes when your needs do

For families and carers

Regular in-home support can take pressure off family carers, giving you time to rest or attend to other commitments while knowing daily routines are covered.
